The moment fear starts running your business

Last week I wrote to you about love and fear.
About how every decision we make, in business and in life, is coming from one of those two places.
And this week, that conversation feels more relevant than ever.
Because right now, the world outside is loud.
Uncertain. Shifting. A little unsettling if you let it in too much.
And I've been watching it land in my clients' worlds, in my own world, and probably in yours too.
So this week, I made a commitment.
To myself, to my clients, and to you.
If you are in my world, I will not contribute to the fear.
I know from COVID, I know from every global situation we have lived through, that the energy of uncertainty is contagious. It creeps in. It starts as a headline and ends up in how you price, how you show up, whether you back yourself or pull back.
And I've seen what happens when fear runs the decision-making.
We either freeze. Or we push harder than we have the capacity for. Neither of those moves the business forward. Both cost us.
Here is what I've been doing with my 1:1 clients this week:
Leaning into the conversation, not avoiding it. Naming the fears, the scarcity thinking, the doubts. Because what you don't name has a way of running you quietly.
Reconnecting to the foundation. What is the mission? What does your business actually solve? None of that has changed.
Looking at how clients will be impacted and what the business can do differently to meet them where they are. This is where you get to move ahead of your industry.
Getting back to the numbers, not the noise. One of my clients had real concerns about petrol costs. When we looked at the actual numbers, her business had grown and her petrol costs had actually reduced. The fear was telling her one story. The numbers told a different one.
That is the work right now.
Not blind optimism. Not toxic positivity. Grounded, clear thinking from a place of love rather than fear.
You get to choose what you make this moment mean for your business.
If this is landing for you, hit reply and tell me: what is one thing the fear is saying right now, and what do you actually know to be true?
And if you want to do this work properly, with real clarity on where your business stands and what needs to shift, I have something coming in May that was built exactly for this moment.
More soon.
With you,
Mira
